Learn – #Write28Days – Day 3

When I chose ABIDE as my word of the year, I had no idea what lessons God had in store for me.

As often happens when Daddy God is trying to get my attention, the same thought, word or idea comes to me in a variety of ways.

It all started with God waking me up each morning around 3:30 AM to spend time with Him (and a hot cup of coffee). Every time I pick up my Bible, read a devotional, attend Bible Study or even scroll through my social media feeds; I clearly hear the same message.

“Abide in ME and your fruit will be like an orchard at harvest time…overflowing & sweet!”  What a beautiful picture of my future.

I have listed a few examples below:

“Continue to engage with that word that He gave you.  Meditate on it, speak it over yourself as often as you can, chew on it, think about it, and pray about it.  It’s working. It really is.  With perseverance over time, you will see the mind-blowing finished product wrought by the Master!  He who began the good work in you will be faithful to bring it to completion! – Jennifer Arimborgo (Feeding on Jesus)

“To abide in Christ’s love is to make his love your home” – Max Lucado Begin Again

“Let it herewith be stated & hereby declared: No person may walk out into the world to begin the day until he or she has stood beneath the cross to recieve God’s love.” – Max Lucado Begin Again

All this, and we are only 34 days into 2021.  I wonder what else God wants me to learn about how to fully ABIDE in Him.

  1. Yes, it is amazing that we are really at the front end of the year, yet God is already using our One Word to show us so much. That’s how I feel with Uncertainty too. It’s really been overwhelming me, and in a good way. 🙂
