Make – #Write28Days – Day 4

The lyrics of “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” have been running through my head today. I’m sure it’s because of the nearly 12 inches of snow on my lawn & the sound of the neighborhood children at play.

That mound of snow is nearly 10 ft tall.
I guess we won’t be grilling any time soon 🙁

the neighbor kids have made a tunnel through our snow bank & they told me yesterday that they love playing here because it’s so easy to climb our (ancient honey locust) tree now.

On Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock sharp, the tornado sirens rang. No, we didn’t have a tornado on the way. The city was merely testing the emergency system, like they do on the 1st Tuesday of every month. But the sound of those sirens on a cold crisp February day, made me think about all the times that God is trying to get my attention & I just ignore “the noise”.

We were made to be God’s children.

We were made to have a close personal relationship with Jesus.

We were made to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit.

But God is a gentleman and does not make us do anything. We were created (made) to have free will.

Has God made any new requests of you lately? Are you making the request a priority?

Have you made any tunnels through the snow mound that God is calling you to conquer today.

I urge you to make it a priority to spend time with our Heavenly Father each & every day; so that, when the alarm bells ring, you are prepared for the storm that is headed your way.

If he calls you to it, He will get you through it.
