Calixto J. Maso MD – Father of My Friend

My dear friend Dede and her family spent Father’s Day not at their “cabin” in Lake Geneva but instead at the visitation for her dad, who left this earth for heaven on June 14th. I cannot imagine the pain that Dede and her eleven siblings are feeling. Their Papi was a true patriarch who loved his family and his God.

Calixto J. Masó M.D., age 91, predeceased by his beloved wife, Gisela Masó, loving father of Maria Margarita Masó-Fraser, Teresita (Alan) Zdunek, Adriana (Matthew) Raimondi, Carmen Masó, Monica (Robert) Potempa, Patricia (Julio) Acosta, Cecilia (Jason) Carman, Emily Masó, Lily Masó, Suzanne (Don Burnett) Masó, Jaime Masó and Roberto Masó, dear grandfather of 27 and great grandfather of 5, loving son of the late Maria and Calixto C. Masó, dear brother of the late Carlos Masó, the late Beatriz Masó, the late Elena Masó Corral, Fausto Masó and Marta Masó Sayeed. He was well respected by colleagues and dedicated to his profession. He lived out his life in devotion to his Catholic faith, supported many charities, and was a lover of the arts.

“The greatest man to walk the face of the earth has left us. I am so honored to be his daughter. He always walked the walk and was an incredible example of how to live in faith. I will miss you dearly.”

Cecilia “Dede” Carman – Jason Carman – Calixto “Papi” Maso
