There are many ways to look at the word AWARE. Do you know what is going on around you? Have you realized something new about yourself? How do you feel, knowing that God always knows where you are, how you feel & what you are thinking? Why do you do what you do?
It is my hope that the scriptures below help you sort out these questions and any others that you may have about how awareness or lack thereof shapes your life.
Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves waist coverings. – Genesis 3:7 NASB
“Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. – Matthew 7:15 NASB
“Do not judge, so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and look, the log is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye! – Matthew 7:1-5 NASB
But Jesus, aware that His disciples were complaining about this, said to them, “Is this offensive to you? – John 6:61 NASB
When Joseph saw his brothers he recognized them, but he disguised himself to them and spoke to them harshly. And he said to them, “Where have you come from?” And they said, “From the land of Canaan, to buy food.” – Genesis 42:7 NASB
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? – 1 Corinthians 6:19 NASB
…for in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His descendants.’ – Acts 17:28 NASB
Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. – 1 Peter 5:8 NASB
It’s good to be God-aware, self-aware, other-aware, and situationally aware, Barb.

Great verses! I sometimes pray for the Holy Spirit to make me more aware and wise about my responses to things and to the situations around me. This is so important for Christ-followers!
