For 2022 my word-of-the-year is ENCOURAGEMENT, therefore my participation in “Love Notes” is even more on my mind than in the past.

I didn’t win any of the raffle prizes but it was fun anyway.

As you can probably imagine, having two weeks of meetings, paperwork and preparing for school to start is not always the most exciting part of the school year.

BUT…

This year we received some wonderful perks via some generous donations. I for one am encouraged by their faith in our program!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

AND THEN

Our daughter teaches in the poorest zip code in the country and has ZERO classroom budget from the school district. Therefore she has had to rely on donations inorder to obtain the things she needs.

The outpouring this year has been…in a word…AMAZING!

People bought extra supplies when doing their own shopping and donated their surplus to Rachel’s class.

AND

Her Amazon Wishlist only has a few things remaining.

Seeing others love on children they don’t even know has put new wind in her sails and excitement for the wide open possibilities for the 2022-23 school year.
