What Do You See? (#62)

Choose 4 things within 4 feet of you and write for 4 minutes. One sentence each.

I look at my stack of textbooks, folders and notebooks and realize that in a few days this semester will be over. πŸ“’

Paint swatches on the table remind me that I need to pick a color before the painter comes on Thursday. πŸͺ£πŸ–ŒοΈ

My to-do list for the weekend is quite lengthy…why am I surprised? πŸ“ƒ

And, of course, there is a flickering candle, a sleepy kitty & an empty coffee cup. β˜•

Are you ready to give it a try?

  1. Snow receding in the rain
    reveals remnants of summer stalks.

A dreary sky presses me to stay snuggled in my covers.

The red numerals on the clock mock my want to stay burrowed.

The calendar quietly shouts, β€œGet moving! Today’s the Christmas Tea!”

  2. Another semester almost under you belt! That’s awesome, Barb. Around me I see a throw blanket I have on my feet, my Kindle on my left, my husband on my right, a football game on TV in front of us. πŸ™‚

  3. A full coffee cup. It’s evening so I might actually catch up on emails and reading posts.
My reading glasses,,,OK I put them on. Now I will correct my spellings.
I can just switch seats and play the piano (after giving my wife and daughter headphones).
A couple buckets of monster oak leaves my wife found and another of big acorns. I think my wife is going to decorate or something. In my mind it will just confuse the Christmas tree and the dog will desperately try to eat the leaves….I think I should just relax and drink my coffee. Maybe herbal tea would be better as I might have had too much caffeine with my ADHD mind already in several places at a time.
